More than $19,000 was raised for Compassionate Companions — a program where caring volunteers are paired with residents to offer companionship, a friendly face, a listening ear or simply someone to share a cup of tea with.
Volunteers in the program are specially trained to help ease the feelings of isolation and loneliness for those who are far from home or facing mobility challenges.
Supporting Compassionate Companions helps train our volunteers, provide resources for meaningful activities and expand the reach of this vital program.
As one golfer shared, “It’s more than a game — it’s about giving someone the gift of connection.”
Thank you to all golfers on the day for helping to drive away loneliness one hole at a time.
