There are moments when the true impact of kindness becomes beautifully clear.
On a warm September morning, as supporters gathered for BlueCare’s annual Supporter Appreciation High Tea, we witnessed exactly that through the stories shared and connections made.
“Seeing the difference these 3D goggles make for someone living with dementia - it’s extraordinary,” remarked one guest as they explored the Experience Table that showcased the innovative technologies and tools that your support enables.
The demonstration of innovative care technology, including the Tovertafel Projector, showed how donor support is helping create moments of joy and engagement for our community members living with dementia.
Julie Smallhorn, our Dementia Care Manager, shared touching stories of how BlueCare’s Neighbourhood Model is transforming in-home care across Queensland.
“It’s about ensuring every person can live life their way, in their own home, surrounded by what matters most to them,” she explained, bringing to life how donor support enables personalised, heartfelt care.
The morning was filled with inspiring conversations about the future of aged care and the vital role our supporters play in making innovative care possible.
From enhancing dementia support services to enabling new technologies that keep families connected, every gift helps create moments that matter.
Our gratitude to supporters who have donated generously last year to BlueCare and our services – thank you.
To those who’ve already chosen to extend their legacy of care through a gift in their Will – thank you. Your foresight and generosity ensure that future generations of Queenslanders will receive the same compassionate care that began with Sister Olive Crombie in 1953.
If you’d like to learn more about leaving your own legacy of care, our Gifts in Wills team would love to have a friendly, confidential chat.
