Meet a Friend of BlueCare: Patricia

Throughout her life, Patricia has enjoyed being part of local communities and contributing to their wellbeing.

From the age of five, she played piano, developed a beautiful soprano voice and excelled in conducting choirs. Patricia was in her element studying singing d piano at Trinity College of Music in London.

In 1972, she migrated to Australia to join her family, living initially in Melbourne and then Caloundra. Both communities welcomed Patricia and her wonderful musical talents. She sung in the Melbourne Chorale for 20 years, conducted the Victorian Welsh Choir and local church choirs.

Throughout her life, Patricia has been part of the Uniting Church and she wasn’t long in Caloundra before Patricia began her 20 years of fundraising with the BlueCare Caloundra Auxiliary.

Now, with her tireless auxiliary days behind her, Patricia is happy to keep supporting BlueCare through her regular gifts. She enjoys the convenience of direct debit and knows the ongoing support helps BlueCare to plan their caring services for older Queenslanders.

Patricia said, "As a Friend of BlueCare, I can still help and do my bit for the community".

Thank you, Patricia.
