This year in Queensland, over 85,000 people are living with all forms of dementia.
Just $48 can provide meaningful items for memory kits, such as familiar items and photos to help spark conversation and connection. But any amount makes a difference.
Every gift helps ensure that no-one faces dementia alone. Thank you for making a difference.

Jane’s Story: How BlueCare helps her care for Errol at home
Jane noticed the changes in Errol nearly a decade ago. Forgetfulness at first, then conversations fading away. “The hardest part was the emotional grief, losing someone I used to have good conversations with,” she shares. But thanks to BlueCare’s dementia care team, Jane has found moments of respite, hope and even time for her art again…
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still support dementia care even though BlueCare Giving Day has ended?
Yes! While BlueCare's first Giving Day may be over, you can still fundraise, donate and show your support for BlueCare's dementia care. Find our more on our Fundraising website here.
What and when is BlueCare Giving Day?
Giving Day is a 12-hour online fundraising challenge, from 8am to 8pm, where we call on our Queensland community to support BlueCare’s dementia support services in our own backyard. This year's Giving Day will take place on Thursday, 23 October 2025.
Where does my donation go?
Your donation to BlueCare's Giving Day will be used to support dementia support and care across Queensland.
Your gift could fund therapeutic tools and spaces, innovative technology and programs, and specialised dementia education and training for BlueCare teams that go beyond what service fees provide.
If there is another specific area or service close to your heart that you'd like to donate to, please give our Fundraising team a call on 1800 001 953.
What is matched giving? How does my donation make double the difference?
Donations are being matched by generous donors and partners of BlueCare until the end of Giving Day, or until the funds they've dedicated are exhausted, whichever is sooner.
This means that if a partner has chosen to match up to $20,000 on Giving Day, donations made by people like you will be matched dollar for dollar until the $20,000 has been exhausted, or Giving Day has ended.
So, if for example, you make a gift of $100 on Giving Day and matching is available, BlueCare will receive an additional $100, doubling your support.
