The Golf Day
When and where is BlueCare's Golf Day?
BlueCare's Golf Day is on Friday, 11th July 2025 at Keperra Golf & Country Club in Brisbane.
Check in and breakfast from 7am.
What is the format of the game?
If you haven't played before, this game is where a group of four golfers work together as a team. The format is a type of scramble where each round is played from the best shot – with the game being scored per hole.
Is the event open to all skill levels?
Yes! Anyone from any skill level is welcome to join us as we're playing a 4-person Ambrose game. The only requirement for this game is that you'll need is your own clubs.
If you haven't played before, you can find out more in the What is the format of the game? FAQ above.
Can family and friends attend as spectators?
Not for this event. Sorry! This is a player only event to keep the game moving while raising funds for a great cause.
What should I bring with me on the day?
This game will require you to bring your own clubs.
As we're in sunny Queenslander, the UV level will reach 3 or above throughout the day so it's important to stay hydrated by bringing a water bottle or sports drink, and wear and bring sunscreen with you while you're outdoors.
For the best sun protection, our friends at Cancer Council recommend you:
- Slip on some sun-protective clothing that covers as much skin as possible.
- Slop on SPF 50 or SPF50+, broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen. Put it on 20 minutes before you go outdoors and every two hours afterwards.
- Slap on a hat – broad brim or legionnaire style to protect your face, head, neck and ears.
- Seek shade.
- Slide on some sunglasses – make sure they meet Australian Standards.
Is there a dress code for the club?
Keperra Golf and Country Club have Dress Regulations on their website – and displayed in the Clubhouse and Golf Shop – that all members and visitors to the club are required to meet.
To make sure everyone attending is able to participate and enjoy the day, we've included a copy of the Dress Regulations below:
- Shirts must have collars (turn down, turtle or mock-turtle) and sleeves and must remain tucked inside slacks and shorts at all times. Only shirts designed specifically for the purpose may be worn outside shorts or trousers.
- Singlets, tank tops and tee shirts are not permitted on the Course or in the Clubhouse.
Slacks, trousers and shorts must be tailored and of good repair. Outside pockets on shorts are acceptable. - Ladies are not permitted to wear midriff tops.
- Ladies shorts and skirts must be of a modest length and fashion shirts must not rise above the belt line at any time during the swing.
- Dress denim apparel shorts are allowed on the course and in the clubhouse.
- Socks must be worn on the course at all times. Predominately white socks with shorts – Long socks must be pulled up.
- Clothing must not display pretentious advertising motifs.
- Golf caps must be worn with cap peak forward.
- The use of soft spikes is encouraged on the course. Soft spikes are also permitted in the main bar area of the clubhouse.
- The Dress Rules of the Club apply equally to Visitors as to Members. Members inviting visitors are responsible for their visitors’ dress and conduct.

General Questions
What does BlueCare do with the information I give with a registration or donation?
Here at BlueCare we know how much you value your privacy while looking for ways to support your neighbourhood. We want you to know that we give the same level of importance to protecting the personal information that you provide to us when donating, fundraising, volunteering and using our services and websites.
We know that reading a privacy policy isn’t the most thrilling or inspiring thing to do, but it is a very important document, which you can read over on our Privacy Policy page.
We love being able to communicate with you about the different ways you can support your neighbourhood but if you change your mind and no longer wish to receive communications from us, you can:
- Follow the opt-out (sometimes also known as “manage subscription” or “unsubscribe”) instruction in the emails we send you.
- If you have opted in to receiving text messages from us and wish to opt out, you can follow the opt-out instruction in that specific text message if you wish to opt-out.
- To update your communication preferences for all things donating and fundraising you can contact us at fundraising@bluecare.org.au.
How do I check if any type of fundraising for BlueCare is a scam?
While we would love to see all technology used to make the world a better place, some people use technology to mirror charities - but they don’t have the charity's important cause at heart. BlueCare is a registered Australian charity, proudly part of UnitingCare Queensland, and we follow all fundraising and government legislation.
Our mail and email fundraising will always have the BlueCare brand on it, communicate with you from an official BlueCare email address such as fundraising@bluecare.org.au, and direct you to our websites – bluecare.org.au or fundraise.bluecare.org.au.
If someone is raising funds on BlueCare's behalf, their online donation page should start with fundraise.bluecare.org.au and be able to share their Letter of Authority to Fundraise from BlueCare too.
If you see, read or hear something that you think isn’t quite right and want to check it with us – we’d definitely like to know too – reach out to our Supporter Experience team on 1800 001 953 or fundraising@bluecare.org.au.
How and why do BlueCare fundraise?
BlueCare fundraises in a range of ways to help our dedicated teams go above and beyond what care packages and paid services can provide.
This includes connecting with individuals, families, organisations and local communities who want to help. We appreciate the money, time and heart anyone is able to give in support of any of BlueCare's programs, services and sites.
We receive funds from:
- Extraordinary people – those who choose to give monthly or give a one-off donation when they can, the ones who leave a lasting legacy through a gift in their Will and the passionate fundraisers giving their networks a reason to pitch in what they can.
- Corporate partners
- State and federal government
- Trusts, foundations and grants
We fundraise:
- online (through emails, social media and our websites)
- by sending mail
- at events

If you’re fundraising in your workplace, ask if they'll match your fundraising efforts, or see if you can advertise on your internal communications channels or add to your email signature.
