Help people living with dementia stay connected to the people and things they love

Dementia affects hundreds of thousands of Australians and touches entire families, friends and communities.

A day to remember is BlueCare's annual Giving Day, dedicated to helping people living with dementia access specialist care, meaningful activities and support that helps them continue living life their way.

This year, we're aiming to raise $250,000 to support Queenslanders living with dementia.

Dementia hasn't changed the love Ron and Denise share

Ron and Denise have shared a lifetime together. They've raised a family, built a home and supported each other through life's many chapters.

When Denise was diagnosed with dementia, life began to look a little different. As her needs changed, Ron stepped into the role of carer, navigating the challenges that dementia can bring while continuing to be the loving husband Denise has always known.

But a diagnosis hasn't changed what matters most.

They still enjoy spending time together. They still share familiar routines, laughter and quiet moments of connection. And they continue to find joy in being part of each other's lives.

For families like Ron and Denise's, the right support can make all the difference, helping people living with dementia stay connected to the people, activities and everyday moments that mean so much.

There are 1.7 million Australians caring for someone living with dementia

Most of them didn't choose the title – they chose the person. They do it because they care deeply, often balancing those responsibilities alongside work, family and their own wellbeing.

By supporting BlueCare's Giving Day, you're giving carers and families resources, respite and quiet reassurance that they are not invisible. Because when a carer feels supported, the person they love does too.

What donations can help fund

Meaningful connection

Memory boxes, life story kits and activities that help people reconnect with cherished memories.

Weighted therapy aids and specialised resources that can reduce distress and provide reassurance.

Innovative technology

Technology such as the Tovertafel, which encourages social connection, movement and engagement through interactive play.

Specialist training
