BlueCare is a not-for-profit organisation that has always relied on community generosity to expand services and train exceptional carers. With the number of people living at home with dementia growing rapidly, the need for specialist dementia care is more urgent than ever.

“They call this the long goodbye, and that’s exactly what it is. I miss him,” Jane says quietly.

Since her husband Errol was diagnosed with dementia, Jane has done everything she can to keep them together at home—the place they both feel safest. But caring for someone you love who is living with dementia is exhausting.

He’s always been my rock, now I'm his rock” Jane says. “He's still the man I love.

BlueCare’s dementia care team has given Jane the support she needs to keep Errol at home for as long as possible. From advice and respite, to twice-weekly outings with his specially trained carers, their help has made a world of difference.

“Thanks to BlueCare, we’ve had more time together. Their help has meant the world.”

Give exhausted carers the break they desperately need.

Caring for a loved one with dementia is a 24/7 job. Many carers like Jane go months—sometimes years—without proper rest or a chance to recharge.

Your gift can help fund day or overnight respite care delivered by trained dementia specialists. That means carers can step away, knowing their loved one is safe, stimulated, and well cared for.
